About Hugs for Heads

At the age of 10, my meme introduced me to knitting and crochet. I immediately fell in love with the process, watching a simple ball of yarn transform into various shapes with just a hook or needles.

Now, years later, my passion for these crafts has only grown stronger. Each time I sit down to knit or crochet, it feels like a therapeutic escape from the chaotic pace of daily life. As one enjoys creating, seeing others appreciate my work is an added bonus.

In 2023, I launched my Hugs for Heads business as a tribute to my dear friend Denise who passed away after battling cancer for years. During her hair loss journey, she struggled to find headwear that made her feel confident and beautiful. That's when I made her a hat that became known as "My Denise". Her smile said it all - she felt pretty again.

My goal with this collection is to bring comfort and joy to anyone facing illness or simply looking for something special to wear.

A portion of all proceeds will go to the Cancer Support Fund of Central Mass in loving memory of Denise Downes♡
